As a result of growth during 2017 and a planned office expansion in March 2018, Cooper Lomaz Recruitment are looking to recruit an Associate Director.  This exciting key hire will join the Senior Management team focusing on driving client facing sales and service standards across the business.  This role is a new position for Cooper Lomaz Recruitment, one we are very excited by and is seen as the hire which will see us unlock further sales results and behaviours through inspiring our growing sales force.

Cooper Lomaz Recruitment is one of the largest privately owned recruitment businesses in East Anglia.  We have organically grown over the past 28 years and have ambitious plans to grow the business further.  With a flat management structure, allowing decisions to be made quickly and owners who passionately support entrepreneurial behaviours, this is a great business to work in. 

In March 2018 we launch our new Colchester office with a workforce of 6 Consultants, which is designed to improve our footprint across Essex.  This is an investment following the growth of business we have seen in Essex over the past 12 months.  Combined with this our Contract and Interim business continues to grow and needs further management as the opportunity for this business was a key trend for us in the latter part of 2017.

The Position

The role will report directly into Simon Brown, Cooper Lomaz’ Managing Director, and will have significant involvement at a senior level across all 3 offices, and all 7 divisions.

The Associate Director will have accountability and autonomy which will see you utilising your strengths in the areas you can most add value to our business.  We are open in what we are looking for, and as to where you may have gained these skills.  Whether you have experience gained leading and driving sales through people and delivery or by focusing on key product growth such as contractor or cross-selling, we can tailor this role to you.  The key however is that you can demonstrate true leadership qualities and driving positive results from a sales team. 

Working as part of the Senior Management Team, you will be responsible for budgeting and forecasting across the teams and offices, and be responsible for recruitment and retention within your specific area.  However more importantly, you will have a voice to set the tone, message and goals of the business.  This is a role for someone who wants to ‘do’ and have impact on a business.  We want people with ideas and enthusiasm for change.

Experience Required

Cooper Lomaz are looking for somebody with a demonstrable track-record of managing and growing sales teams within a recruitment business. You could be a Senior Manager within an SME agency looking to move to a larger organisation, or you could be a Manager within a larger corporate agency looking to have a bigger influence within a business and take more ownership of a particular area.

To be considered you must have experience of either growing and managing recruitment sales teams of 20+ people, or have experience of growing a large £multi-million contract division. Experience of working within a technical or professional service recruitment background is highly desirable.
